This is a post for those who loved hip-hop, for those whose hearts were broken when a single after single, a LP after a LP, a release after release was going further and further from what this culture was meant to be. If you experienced hip-hop, the B-Boying, the DJ-ing, the MC-ing, if you have ever been in a park surrounded by people who are passionate about this, who are self-though professors in the art of hip-hop I can understand your pain.
It's simply not the same, the park is a lonely place, the kid who wishes to master his craft and play an original role in this art form is a loner.


 However, one thing I cannot accept. It's not over, it's not dead, it's not even as weak as you think...Although the passion is not often showcased in the mainstream media, although in this new era of social media presence and "brand" building, some of the legends who we used to admire seem to be voiceless forgotten heroes, I can  still find hip-hop. I can find music made with heart, dedication and consciousness....Just a few months ago, De La Soul prooved my point by releasing an Album through crowd funding. The Group managed to gather more than half of million, a sum that even most mainstream, commercial artists wouldn't be able to earn in sales.


And just a few months ago Masta Ace relesed his 5th studio album "The Falling Season". Better than ever, Ace created a autobiographical master peace, an album that can easily be sold on old shcool cassette tape and listen from beginning to end. I know that you are probably still not impressed, probably will still continue to ask "What happened to Hip-Hop ?", however it's this is just a reminder that it's there....
