Large Pro's most prominent claim to fame might be the fact that he executively produced Nas' legendary debut album "illmatic" in 94. However, his career in hip-hop started a lot earlier. In the 1990, Large produced Eric B and Rakim's single "In The Ghetto" and in 1991 he put out an amazing album with his group Main Source "Breaking Atoms". Large Professor's production is part of the defining elements of what today we call Golden Era Hip-Hop. The list of artist he worked with goes from Kool G Rap, Rakim, Slick Rick, Nas, Mobb Deep, Busta Rhymes, and Cormega to Common, Joell Ortiz, Termanology,Torae and Reks.

Ski beats is one of these producers that constantly evolves. He not only survived the end of the Golden Era and the demise of Roc-A-Fella Records, but maintained active and transcent praduction techniques and tradition into his newest projects. Perhaps, old school hip-hop fans know him mostly for his work with Jay-Z and instrumentals such as "In my Life Time", "Dead Presidents II" and "Streets is Watching", but most recently Ski has worked with current lyrical monsters such as Royce Da 5'9, Smoke Dza, Action Bronson, Murs, Ras Kass and Mos Def. To check some of his instrumentals check my beat mix, for more check my youtube channel...

Arguably, Pete Rock (aka The Soul Brother) build a name for himself through his dope collaborations with CL Smooth in 3 amazing golden era hip-hop albums. He is one of those producers who evolved from heavy low-end boombap beats produced on the E-mu SP-1200 to more complicated soulful, jazz sample flips done on the AKAI MPC.

Some of the names that Pete Rock produced for include Nas, Rakim, AZ, Redman,Raekwon, Freddie Foxxx, Phife Dawg, Ed O.G. and one of his most recent placement included a beat for Kaney West and Jay-Z on "Watch The Throne" - "The Joy".

Next to DJ Premier, Large Pro and Q-Tip, Pete Rock is one of the names that took part in producing Nas' legendary debut album "illmatic"....

Easy Mo Bee, can be considered forgotton or underated only by people who did not study the Golder Era of Hip-Hop. Often, we used the phrase "signature sound" without attaching much meaning to it, but that's not the case with Mo Bee. His drums, swing, chops, layers defined a unique style. Although, he might be most proud of his collaborative Album with the lagendary jazz trumpetier Miles Davis, in my heart, Easy Mo  Bee will be forever the amazing ear behind amazing beats such as "If I Die 2Nite" or "My Block" by Pac and "Ready to Die", "Machine Gun Funk" by Biggie... I mean, who can name another beat maker with his own unique style, apprecieted by both of the most legandary rappers... (2 Pac and Notorious B.I.G.).... Hope you enjoy this beattape.
